Quality Inn Grand Suites Bellingham

My girlfriend and I were in Bellingham for a two day music festival and couldn't find a decent hotel for under $300 a night. Went on booking.com and found Quality Inn for like $120 per night. We stayed three nights and were very pleased with the accomodations. The online reviews almost scared us away. In fact, that's what led me to write this review. Some of the reviews were terrible and that is the complete opposite of our experience. That being said; It is slightly outdated and it is a cereal, bagel, waffle and powdered egg breakfast. But that is literally the only thing that I could even consider as a negative. The bed was comfortable. The towels were clean as well as the bathroom. The jacuzzi tub in the suite worked and the water was hot enough to scald. The pool was open and well maintained. The staff was super courteous. I would recommend this hotel to anyone on the fence because of the negative reviews. Also worth noting, they refunded my deposit the day we left and that was even after we lost a towel.

The room was a bit old-fashioned, but cozy. Definitely would suggest bringing your own pillow, if you need the neck support. There was plenty of parking and complimentary breakfast/internet. They have a nice pool and jacuzzi. The area the hotel is located in is quite safe from what I saw and a walking distance from the mall. Only complaint is the elevator didn't work well. You have to press the buttons several times, or open/close the doors more than once, for it to register. Also smelled very strongly of chemicals.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, and everything felt spotless. The customer service really stood out—Cameron and Kurt at the front desk were super nice and professional, and it really made a difference. I highly recommend this hotel overall. The only thing that was just 'half-and-half' was the breakfast, but aside from that, everything was fantastic!
